Exchanging U.S Currency, help!

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea

Wondering if anyone can tell me if they take 100$US bills for exchange at the Airport in Apia. I am bringing some U.S cash obviously and dont want to get stuck with it. Would I be better off bringing 50's instead? How is it in Nadi and Tonga as well? Its tough to find any info. on airports that take the U.S hundred dollar bill, if anybody has any recent experience it would be great to hear from you, as I leave in about a month. thanks

Both ANZ and WestPac (both large banks) have exchange booths at the airport that are open for incoming international flights. I would not expect that you would not have any difficulties provided the bills are in good condition.

ANZ also has an ATM there.... Whether or not it will be up and running is anyone's guess... Don't count on it.

Oh Chris, you should not have problems exchanging Canadian money either.
