| sydneyguy7807:12 UTC12 Mar 2007 | Please help. My wife's side of the family are trying to organise a family holiday for either June/July or 2nd week of December 2008 however we are unable to agree on a destination. Some of the suggestions so far have been Bay of Islands, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Hawaii or Cook Islands. There is a real mix of tastes and budgets but what we have loosely agreed on is 3-4 star resort style accomodations with a kids club and somewhere that is going to be pleasant at that time of the year (don't want monsoons or cyclones). Where do people suggest that could cater for a group this size in SEPERATE accomodations (shared a house before and it doesnt work) and have facilities for kids aged from 1-17 ? Ideally we would like to keep the total budget to around $ per person per day for accomodation and also dont want to book somewhere with cheap accomodation if its going to cost a fortune to fly there from Aust. So far Cook Islands in December 08 is the preference but looking at Samoa and Tonga and they both look gorgeous and seem very cheap compared to others in the region.

Forget Meridien though, Le Lagon has just finished the most spectacular new pools and kids club. Beatiful location right on the beach with good snorkelling at the door. You should know that cyclones are a fact of life in the Pacific from Dec thru March.
Have some contacts that may save you some cash on accom in Vanuatu if you want to PM me.
