Feb/March 08 destination for two active friendsCountry forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea
My friend and I are looking to travel in Feb or March 08. We want somewhere sunny, chilled, beautiful. We're both quite active, and want some gorgeous dive sites as well as other activities to do. We'll be coming from Australia, and don't want to spend too much time travelling, so we were thinking somewhere in the South Pacific area. However, we also want somewhere that isn't overrun with either too many kids, or honeymooning couples. We also don't want anything resembling a Contiki tour! We just want to chill out, have fun, and meet other active, happy people. Any suggestions? We're looking for suggestions for a particular location, as well as any specific accommodation you've loved. Thanks.
you could take a look at Uepi, in the Solomon Islands. (www.uepi.com). You can get there from Brisbane in one day if you book correctly, and you can also get back to Bne the same day. Diving is some of the best in the world and you can snorkel straight off the island as well. You can also organise a kayaking trip, either extended/overnight or a couple of hours. Other activities are listed on the website. A "full house" at Uepi is about 20 guests, so it's unlikely you'd ever get "overrun" with people. The resort is all there is on the island, so your tariff includes their amazing meals as well. PM me for more info | 1
Thanks, I'll definitely check Uepi out. | 2
Try visiting CORON ISLANDS and El Nido Islands, west of the Philippines. Real paradise, nice diving sites... for party island try the best beach in the world- BORACAY ISLAND in central Philippines. | 3
