Is the wet season under way in mid November, is it oppressively hot and humid then, and are mosquito borne diseases a problem - particularly in Taveuni ?
Hi Did you ever find out an answer to this question? I'm heading to Fiji, inc Taveuni, in a couple of weeks and am interested to know. Cheers | 1
By the way, FYI, it was hot, like 30 degrees C every day but not opressively. We got there on the 23rd of Nov and the rain started on the 25th - the Australian woman managing our hotel said "It was right on cue - the locals said it starts pretty much exactly this day every year". (Yasawas). So every morning was sunny/cloudy then at lunch the rain started. Sometimes all arvo sometimes just a quick (though heavy) shower or two. But it never cooled down, i would say it hovered around 30 regardless. We then went to Taveuni for 3 nights and it rained less - go figure (1-4th December). Cheers | 2
