On the way home from NZ next April I'm toying with making a stop on one of the Pacific Islands. The options are Vanuatu or Fiji. I've heard plenty of good things about Fiji but have read that Vanuatu is beautiful and laid back. I'll be arriving on my lonesome so am wondering if Vanuatu is more of a couples destination or if I'll still find it easy to meet other travellers there.
So what are your thoughts if you had 10 days to spend in either Fiji or Vanuatu in April? Which would you go for, and why?
