Fiji - September 2008

Hello

I am travelling to Fiji for two weeks from 21st September. I was wondering whether anyone else was travelling to Fiji around that time and/or whetehr anyone knows if the Feejee experience is worth doing. I was looking at the Tribal Loop. Any suggestions would be great. I am travelling on my own and looking for inspiration.

Hi, I did Feejee Experience a couple of years ago as part of my trip to Fiji and it was one of the best trips I have ever taken! It gives you a real "backpacker" experience but still makes sure you are staying in nice hostels and have a guide to take you around. I did it with a bunch of friends, but there were some other people on the bus who had come on their own and made friends easily. We also spent time at Robinson Crusoe Island- I can't remember if that was part of the Feejee Experience tour, but if not you should make sure to get there for a few days, you will have tons of fun!
The only downside is that there are a few long-ish bus rides, and Fiji roads are pretty horrible, so make sure you have some good books to read and music to listen to!

feejee exp is a expensive bus trip around the main land with a busload of other budget turists all staying at the same hostels and party with the same. its not a fiji experience at all, but a thing a lot of people like.
