Fiji(surfschools, kitesurfing)Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea
Hi I'm looking for some advice about where in Fiji to go. My Girlfriend and myself are in Fiji for 9 days in July on our way to New Zealand from the UK and are a little perplexed about how to use our time best. We were basically thinking of island hopping (but are open to other suggestions) but don't know where is best. The guide books, while they obviously differentiat between the various islands and groups, arn't really helping us make up our minds. We are both beach bums and are therefore keen to spend time on the many beaches Fiji has to offer. A nice mix of some places of the beaten track and some more party type places would be great. The other issue is that we are quite active beach bums. We both dive and sail and would be keen to get some of these activities in. I also windsurf and can kinda surf, generally only in the mild conditions of the english south coast! My girlfriend has never really done either of these activities but is very keen to learn, so surf/windsurfing schools would be great. I also am learning to Kitesurf and would love to find a school to improve a bit. So a big question is where can we find good relativly affordable surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing schools. The only one i've managed to find so far is safari lodge which has very mixed reviews (p.s if anyones been there or near to it and has their own oppinion i'd love to here it. Any suggestions would be great, sorry for the long post thanks berts
