On Air Pacific website I found the price of return ticket Nadi - Vila is around 500 US$.
It seems quite expensive.
Does anybody know if it is cheaper to buy this ticket in Fiji ?

Their website tends to give fares from Fiji in Fijian dollars!
Also, did you check their "Bula Fares"?
Those are the lowest fares you can get, same what you pay in Fiji.
The RT to Vanuatu should be under 500 USD, but it won't be dirt-cheap - no flight in the region is.

Yes, this is "Bula Fare".
The current price on Air Pacific website is 381 Fiji $ one way.

If it includes taxes (HUGE in the Pacific region) that sounds about right.
The basic fare itself was 200+ FJD when I last checked - plus tax.
Though you could also check Air Vanuatu.
However their discounted fares (similar, in any case) seemed less easy to get than Air Pacific's.
