large group of us, maybe 12, are plannign a long stay (1 month maybe) in Fiji. Can you recommend a good hotel? Prefer not a resort type, but more like cabanas on the beach. A place that can accommodate us all.
Also, where are the party spots? The fun areas of any kind, including sight seaing and diving locations. Should we make an effort to get off the beaten track? Like going to another island?
Any hotel and fun recommendations are appreciated.

What are you talking about? Fiji isn't an island. It's a country comprised of many many islands ... perhaps browse through a guidebook to get answers to your 'basic orientation' questions
