Fiji with 5 year old

I posted this message on the Kid's branch but have not had any responses, so I thought I might have more luck over here...

Was wondering if anyone had suggestions for places to stay for 5 nights in Fiji. We will be travelling with our 5 year old daughter so kid's club or kid's activities would be great (but not essential). Would consider travelling to Yasawa islands. As we will be there in early January, looks like it may be fairly busy with new year travellers (as when i looked at hotel prices, they seem ridiculously high). We were also thinking about possibly doing a village stay for a few nights... anyone done that with kids, if so which village and how was the experience?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
