Fishing and travelling in Tonga to Ha'apai

Hello everybody, it's my first thread on lonely planet!

I'm Stéphane, 37 years old French people, I live on Réunion Island, near Mauritius
I'm a fanatic fisherman, who enjoy popping and jigging

I will travel with my rods and reels, so i'll have lot of weight with me (25kg), and a rod tube 1,90 meter long

did you have information about the possibility of going to ha'apai by plane with tis kind of luggage and this weight!
i try to have athampacifics, but i dont succed in

did you have informations about prices of ferries too,

Popping in Tonga doesn't always work very well.

I think it's because of so much floating debris from underwater volcanoes, baitfish don't orient to the surface as much as some other places-like Fiji.

Jigging does work though-as you can see here

did you have any contacts in order to go fishing in tonga?
i'm searching for boats, or share a boat with fisherman from all over the world, or locals fishermans, i have to make reports for a french magazine
