Fishing in Fiji

Can anyone recommend spots to go fishing in Fiji, I will be there in October, dont fancy the offshore fishing and was looking for beach or rock fishing if anyone had any recommendations. Do you need to have a licence and can you hire equipment and buy bait. Any help welcome

If you mean from shore you're in tough.

Everything in Fiji is private all the way to the outside of the reef if you try casting from any old beach you'll literally be poaching someone's food supply Not Recommended

No Gear Hire None if you don't bring your own gear forget the whole idea.

It's possible to go handline fishing with locals for relatively cheap from any village that's probably your best bet since you don't have the money to hire a sport boat to take you to where there are still some game fish left like Kadavu.
