Flight From LAto the Cook Islands?

Hi I am looking for a cheap airfare deal from LA to the Cook Islands in Dec. 2009 return. Are there any cheap deal - agency in LA that you can recommend?

sidestep.com may be worth a try, but I usually find the lowest tickets on the Air NZ web page. Air NZ usually has special deals, but the current one I see advertised expires Nov.30. It's $1065 including taxes if you leave Nov. 29 and return in December. Since December is pretty much high tourist season, I doubt they'll have any special fares starting in December.

Sometimes it's cheaper to go via New Zealand when they have special deals to NZ that allows a free pacific island stopover. I was looking for Cook Island flights in May this year and I could go USA-Cook Islands-NZ-USA (short stop in NZ) for $820 while USA-Cook Islands-USA was $1100. Then Air NZ launched a new special fare to the Cook Islands so I ended up buying San Francisco-Cook Islands return for $720 including taxes.
