Flight to Port MoresbyCountry forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea
Hi I have booked flights through websites such as expedia, travelocity etc but have never needed to change the flight after purchase. I have found a flight from NZ to Port Moresby on expedia.co.nz (travelling Air NZ to BNE and then Air Nuigini to POM) but there is a chance that i could need to change the ticket for the person flying. Obviously there are charges involved with this but how do i change it after purchase? Is it through the airline like I would if i was booking a flight direct, or would I change it through expedia? If it makes any difference, i wasn't actually able to book the flight through Air NZ so that is not an option. They have the flight but are unable to book the Air Nuigini sector (no i don't know why). Hence why i was looking around on Expedia. Qantas' flights were a lot more expensive as well. If it is likely to be a difficult process to change the ticket i will probably just go through a travel agent! But if anyone can advise me it would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Oh. I hate it when this happens. I found pretty much what i was looking for. I will post it here for anyone who wants to read it: Can I make changes or cancel my flight booking? Many of the fares that you can book on Expedia.co.nz are specially negotiated fares, offering you a discount compared to standard published fares - however often cannot be changed or refunded. Please read the "Airline Rules & Regulations" section carefully before you purchase your flight; If the airfare you have booked does allow changes and/or cancellation, or if you are unsure about this, please contact our customer care centre at 0800 99 87 99. The customer care centre is open Monday – Friday from 9 am to 10 pm, weekend and public holidays from 10 am to 5 pm. Please have your itinerary number and booking details available. Still doesn't help as to whether they will have a good cheapish alternative available, but it does appear to answer my question. Sorry! | 1
