Flights in Oceania

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea

Hi, I am from Europe but I will start my trip to Pacific Islands after six weeks stay in Auckland.

I must start my Oceania trip in Cook Islandœ - then I wanted to continue to Fiji, Samoa
and Tonga. But now when Air New Zealand cancelled its flights to Fiji I must change my plans.
So I ask you - is there now any connection from Cooks to Fiji, Samoa or Tonga? Or have I to return
to AKL first? Thank you for any help, any advice how to do it.

Jindrich.

In short, the answer to the first part is "no". No connections directly from the Cooks to Fiji, Samoa or Tonga. So, yes, you'll have to go back to Auckland to go from the Cooks to anywhere but Tahiti or LAX by air.

What Raro? When I was in Cook Oct -06, Air New Zealand had a flight to Fiji. Have they cancelled it? If no, it's still running. Check it up.

Cancelled as of a week ago. Have to go via AKL now.
