Flights to Palau

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea

Hi,

I'm planning to go to palau this August. I've searched throught the TT and all the posts around flights are quite old. What is the cheapest option right now to flight to Palau?

Thanks in advance

What's your departure point?

Thanks, yes I didn say :(

I'll be in Bali. My current plan is Bali -> Kuala Lumpur -> Manila -> Palau.

But Manila -> Palau is still quite expensive.

Thanks

Read through the threads and the FAQ--the options haven't changed. Continental is still the primary carrier and flies from Manila. There is a Delta flight from Japan and some other airlines with service from Asia. But I'm pretty sure Continental is still your only option from Manila.

Yes, I have been checking, and all the options are quite expensive (some as much as the Europe-Singapore flight!!!).

I haven't found anything cheaper, and I thought that hopefully there were new options.

Thanks!

I saw awhile ago that Asiana Airlines would be flying into Palau out of Seoul, South Korea - I have no idea if it would be cheaper and what the options are like to get to South Korea from where you are but it might be worth a look. You could also have a look at airtreks.com and play around with some different routes to see what might work for you. We did the Manila - Koror route and found that booking early would be the cheapest - but, although expensive, we felt it was really worth it.

China Airlines flies from Taipeh to Palau, but I don't know if they're cheaper than Continental.

As tilos said on #3, Continental airlines is the only direct option and, although expensive, it's usually the cheapest one because all other ones imply a big detour. However, you can always look for offers or discounts, or pay your ticket with miles (if you have them).

And if there are other options- fly very soon since they often don't stay around very long!

Thanks to all. I've seen that flying from Manila in Friday is cheaper than any other day! Still expensive, but a bit more affordable!

Thanks again guys!

How odd- maybe they hope you will come over just for the weekend? Anyway- Enjoy- just be careful if it is payday Friday- things can get a bit wild, especially on the streets.
