Freighter Travel from Tahiti to Outer Islands

I am interested in travelling by freighter from Tahiti to outer islands (any). We are a family of four (2 adults, 10yo and 12yo) and I would be interested in hearing other experiences doing this and what the best way is to plan/book such travel. I found a listing for two different freighters that look like a good bet, Cobia and Rairoa Nui. If anyone has any experience with these two frieghters (or any others) I would love to hear about it!!

Ich took the Aranui.
None of the other freighters in Papeete's harbor looked like I wanted to be on it. Maybe there are some newer ones around in the meantime.

The Aranui looks fabulous!! Hopefully whatever rusty old cargo ship I end up on doesn't sink :)
