Happy to see the well regarded Fua'amotu Transit Lodge has their website up-I looked for it a while back but no luck.

It's a very well run place with traditional Tongan hospitality and being so close to the airport very convenient.

Looks like a good place to stay. I was amused that the double room has 2 single beds, but, according to the photo, the "single" room has a double bed.

I think it has to do with the size of the rooms-I stayed in the 'single' room with it's large bed.

What I liked about the place was it's traditional Tongan hospitality-I took a day room for only 8 hours and they fed me three times!

(Tonga is no place to go on a diet)

I hope that's fish in the batter. It looks suspiciously like the flour and water "cakes" some kids love in Solomon Islands.

It's fish-fresh and delicious.
