Laszlo00:36 UTC08 Jul 2008	From??? New Ireland is in Papua New Guinea! Within the country, you can get there either by air or sea - boats go to Kavieng from Rabaul in East New Britain, which in turn gets boats from Lae on the mainland.	1

Laszlo09:36 UTC08 Jul 2008	I believe Air Niugini's website shows some fares. I really doubt the shipping companies have websites, but the recent LP guide should have fairly accurate fares.	3

The best way to get to New Ireland is through Port Moresby (actually it is the only way by plane, and a boat would be virtually impossible to schedule from the states ahead of time).. it costs around $200-300 RT via Air Niugini... the only airline that flies there.	4
popeye198300:15 UTC26 Oct 2008	Actually - Airlines PNG also fly there on fixed schedules, or charter from North Coast Aviation from Lae or Rabaul... Generally the main carriers will get you to Kavieng, or the chartered aircraft will go anywhere you want in New Ireland	5
