Guam: looking for B&B style accomodation with child & tips

So far many people seem to be quite negative about Guam as a tourist destination. Due to bad connections we're going to stay there a few days (about 7 in total) and I was hoping that anyone might have positive recommendations on what to see & do in Guam? (besides shopping)

We are also looking for some non-resort, non-touristy accomodation in Guam (maybe south of Guam?). Does anyone know if there are self contained apartments or B&B style rooms available on the island? I only found the Jungle B&B so far.
We're traveling with a child of 1,5 and we would prefer to stay close to the beach (snorkeling?).
