Honeymoon In Vanuatu

Hello there,

Was wondering if I could get some advice/help on Vanuatu pls!! My husband to be, and I are heading from the UK to Brisbane to wed in September this year. We have decided to head to Vanuatu on our honeymoon but we are finding it difficult to get info on accommodation, flights etc when we arrive in Portvilla. We tried trailfinders but they where no help at all! We have managed to locate flights from Brisbane to PortVila but the rest of the honeymoon has to be sorted.

We are keen to do a spot of Island hoping. PortVilla, Santo and a few of the more remote islands. As its our honeymoon we would like to stay in private bungalows - I dont mind roughing it a bit on the more remote islands but would like the accommodation to be clean, washing and toilet facilities. Any recommendations on islands, accommodation and how to get there would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Rachel - I would recommend contacting Glenda at Melanesian Tours, Port Villa(www.melanesiantours.com).
We worked with them on out trip to Vanuatu in 2006 and were very pleased with their service. They booked flights to Tanna(she really went out of her way to secure our seats when we found out Air Vanuatu had cancelled our reservations) and set up an accommodations package at Evergreen Bungalows with transportation and a volcano visit. We also used them for transportation to and from the airport - a bit more expensive but worth it to us to have it all arranged beforehand. Evergreen Bungalows(they have a web site) was a good mid budget choice for us, basic but clean with a nice restaurant. Glenda will set up the tours to your specifications. You might also have a look at tripadvisor for some ideas and reviews. Hope this helps.

If you Google "vanuatu accommodation" or similar, you will find leading the page is www.vanuatu-hotels.vu ...they provide 24 hrs service 365 days, and are in Port vila, plus have the largest range of options on the net.
