Hostel in lautoka

Hi,
I have a 2 day 1 night stopover in Nadi.
From what I have read Lautoka seems to be a nicer option than Nadi town.
Can anyone recommend a good backpackers hostel or cheap hotel in Lautoka?
Also how far is Lauroka from the airport?

I don't know of any hostels -- on two different occasions I stayed at these budget level hotels:

The Sea Breeze hotel is down a quiet side street towards the sea. Near bus station and center of town. Has a pool as well.

Cathay Hotel is situated a bit inland by a park and sports field, and it has a good pool in a central courtyard. See www.fiji4less.com

Express buses leaving terminal and heading towards Nadi and further stop outside the airport arrivals hall. Ride takes about 30 minutes, something on that order.
