Hotel Kodjeue at Ouameo beach

Has anyone stayed at this hotel, I am not sure if Ouameo beach may be a bit away from Kuto and the lovely beaches there. Also does anyone know how the Dengue Fever situation is on the Isle of Pines. We will be staying on the island for the first week of July and would appreciate recommended places to visit or eat at.

Ive stayed there. The beach is very pleasant but not anywhere near as nice as Kuto or Kanumera. It has a nice pool, good restaurant and the place of choice for scuba divers.No other eateries nearby.

I loved the restaurant at Chez Regis (near the Meridien), the restaurant at Gite Manamaky (now possibly closed) and the snack near Vao for lunch (forget the name , but run buy a man from Martinique)
