I stayed in Ranginui's Retreat for 4 days and will not recommend this accommodation to anyone.
The owner of the hotel is definitely not helpful. Looking at the brochure, it reads that he will book tours if needed and that airport transfers are complimentary.
I had to practically harass him to book a cruise, which he did 1 hour before the departure of the cruise.
Concerning the airport transfers, after confirming on the morning of our departure that he will take us to the airport at 4pm, he did not show up. I had to stop a scooter to get there!!!
+ the lagoon is very swallow here and the place is full of mosquitoes.
In brief, for NZD 160 / night, you can find a better accommodation.

| dadams23:41 UTC21 Apr 2008 | I'd agree with Raro - when we were there several years ago it was run by an Aussie who was extremely helpful.
Maybe new owners or he doesn't care anymore.
Sorry to hear about you bad experience - I certainly wouldn't recommend it either after that service.
