How to get to Samoa directly from Vanuatu

I have asked before if there are direct flights from Vanuatu to Samoa and it appears that is not possible. Does anyone know if you can get a boat from Vanuatu to Samoa? If so how long does it take? (We have a 2 year old son).

A boat trip would take at least about two weeks and that is why there aren't any. It is far more than a thousand miles between both island countries. And there is no direct flight either; you will have to go via Nadi/Fiji.

As above: you must fly via Fiji.
On a brighter note, this means you can have a stopover there.

And just in case you start wondering, there are no passenger boats between Fiji and either Vanuatu or Samoa, either.
