Huahine

Hello,

I understand that Huahine is a beautiful island. I'd like to visit and I have a question that I have not been able to find an answer to. Is it a good choice for a family trip, with two young children. We'd like to relax, enjoy beautiful people and culture, swim, snorkel and play gently.

Huahine is indeed a beautiful island and I felt it was very family friendly. Where we stayed there was a family with two young boys who would head off biking (complimentary by the accommodation) - we would get reports at the end of the day about the places and things they saw. There are some lovely beaches with good snorkeling. The town of Fare is low keyed but very inviting. There are a number of water tours you can avail of and renting a car, while costly, was a great way to see the whole of the island. We visited 5 islands in FP and Huahine was our favorite because of the laid back vibe and the warm, friendly people we met there. Feel free to PM me if I can help you further.
