I want to crew a boat from India to Thailand. Is it possible?

Dear travelers,

I am in India until February at least and want to reach Thailand (or thereabouts) via sea.

Finding out if this is possible is proving very elusive.

I have used search engines, lonely planets' forum and I have joined a crewing forum (http://www.cruiserlog.com/forums/index.phps=0cfa4081f0342b87da63923ed044fbb8&showforum=5)

and I am keeping my fingers crossed, but if anyone knows of any other such forums or avenues for me to pursue to find out about sailing (be it yacht, steamer, freight or ferry) to anywhere near Thailand (or even Oz), from India, please let me know.

Well, this board is for the Pacific Islands. So, you might get some answers, but probably more on a board that include India and/or Thailand.
