Hi there Since I am going to the Cooks, Samoa and Tonga in July/August I was wondering if I should book flights (e.g. to Aitutaki) ahead? Or do I have still the possibility to book (and get a seat) while I'm there? Thanks
You can usually wait until you are there, but I'd suggest you book a couple of months in advance. Why??? That is Constitution Celebrations period, a week before and after August 4, and lots of outer island flights in both directions are often booked up in advance. So, you didn;t specify when you'd be in the Cooks as opposed to Samoa/tonga, but consider the above if you will be in the Cooks in late July/early August. | 1
Thanks Raro! I'm still working on the itenary for my RTW trip ;-), but I guess I will be in the in the Cooks around 2d and 3rd week of July and in Samoa & Tonga last week of July and then the first three weeks of August. I've decided to skip Fiji to have more time to explore the other islands. | 2
I'd book in advance via the Air Rarotonga website (fins it via www.ck). You can usually change your flight without a penalty, and it at least gives you something to plan around. Note there are no domestic flights on Sundays in the Cooks. | 3
