Internal Islandgroup flights

Hi there

Since I am going to the Cooks, Samoa and Tonga in July/August I was wondering if I should book flights (e.g. to Aitutaki) ahead? Or do I have still the possibility to book (and get a seat) while I'm there?

You can usually wait until you are there, but I'd suggest you book a couple of months in advance. Why??? That is Constitution Celebrations period, a week before and after August 4, and lots of outer island flights in both directions are often booked up in advance.

So, you didn;t specify when you'd be in the Cooks as opposed to Samoa/tonga, but consider the above if you will be in the Cooks in late July/early August.

I'm still working on the itenary for my RTW trip ;-), but I guess I will be in the in the Cooks around 2d and 3rd week of July and in Samoa & Tonga last week of July and then the first three weeks of August. I've decided to skip Fiji to have more time to explore the other islands.

I'd book in advance via the Air Rarotonga website (fins it via www.ck). You can usually change your flight without a penalty, and it at least gives you something to plan around. Note there are no domestic flights on Sundays in the Cooks.
