is it raining??

am due in Fiji in about 2 weeks, just checked the weather forcast and it doesnt look good at all. for those who are there now is the weather as bad as it looks? can u lie on the beach?

Today it's 28C, beautiful, sunny with a sea like a mirror - at least on Ovalau Island.

A good way to deal with rain is to string up a hammock on a covered patio/balcony, and get into the spirit of daily life on a south pacific island

depends where you're going. rain tends to be heavy but intermittant (maybe a half hour in the afternoons) in the suva area, but usually sunnier in nadi and the outer islands

Weather forecasts in the SP are totally unreliable (unless a cyclone is coming, which is rare). It can eb sunny for a few hours, or days, then rainy for a few hours or days. Too hard to predict much too far in advance, as the fronts move around a lot. Just roll with the punches, so to speak. Anyway, it's a warm rain even if you get stuck in it. Just bring an extra T-shirt etc if you are in town, or away from where you are staying.
