I'd really appreciate your help for my folloeing questions: - I'm from Italy = Do I need a visa and can I get it at the airport (is it exoensive)? - can I find not expensive accommodation at Christmas Is.? - What about the coral reef in the island is it a real good one. I like to take photos!
Thanks a lot for your help

There are only about five places to stay and only a few to eat at on the main island a few more on Tarawa and they were not that expensive. The reef usually has large waves and fierce currents and is evidently not suitable for snorkeling. You are stuck there for a week until the next plane arrives but It sounds like it would be an interesting place to visit. Some people get it confused with the island of the same name in the Indian Ocean.
