Kokoda Track transport and guides?

I am an experienced hiker, from Australia, planning to walk the Kokoda track, from late August to early September 2008
I will be walking independently, not with a tour group, but will consider hiring a guide/porter.
Can anyone recommend a good freelance guide/porter?
Does anyone know a company or person that can provide transport to Owens corner?

I am looking at hiking Kokoda from late august to early/mid September as well. I would prefer to skip the tour group part, and would be happy to go halves in a guide.
