Kosrae or Chuuk?

Hello!

If you could stay 3 nights on either Chuuk or Kosrae, what island would you choose and why? Which is better for hiking, swimming, snorkeling, sightseeing...? Where are the more stunning beaches, the nicer hotels and restaurants, the better atmosphere?

Chuuk has a REALLY bad reputation for safety and atmosphere and is mostly worthwhile for divers.

Kosrae gets very good reviews from everyone who has been there - which, sadly, does not include me.
But I don't think it is the place t look for for stunning beaches and flashy hotels - atmosphere, yes.

agreed- Kosrae unless you want to wreck dive. Have spent time on both and there is no comparison. Chuuk can be a dangerous place- Kosrae is very laid back and rural and pleasant.
