Levuka Fiji

Has anybody spent a holiday in Levuka, Fiji. Just wanting to know if it is a good place to go.

It's a great place to go, but it depends what you are looking for. No beaches. It's a small historic town, with some good walks. Staying at the Royal Hotel is an experience in itself.

Nice place to stop, but really not much to do there. It's a small port and can't grow because it's up against the mountains. No beaches/bathing that I know of. There are some islands nearby that may be more of a holiday setting, as long as you're prepared for the possibility of no electricity or running water at times.
