Lifuku book exchange

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea

We are planning to spend a month in Tonga, mostly diving and snorkling, maybe staying on Uoleva. Stargazing is plenty of nightlife but we go through books fast. Is there a book exchange (English) on Lifuku?
Also can anyone comment on the relative merits of the two basic accomadations on Uoleva, Tainana's Beach vs Captains Cooks, for instance, reef access or mossies, or kitchen?
And how good is the shore snorkling form there?

The 2 budget accommodation options on Uoleva are very close to each other and similarly basic. Some people said that the owner of CC was kind of eccentric and could be a nuisance to women, while I found the owner of Tainana's very nice. So my vote goes for the latter.
The snorkeling was better a bit further away from these, but nothing on Uoleva is far.

For "book exchange" your best bet will be other travelers, or asking the guesthouses.
I found fairly readable books at Langilangi's GH.
