Mana Island Resort

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea

Hi there. Has anyone stayed here. I hear the snorkelling is pretty good. Anything interesteding to see apart from the usual parrott fish etc?

Also, can you walk round the island at low tide? I like to run and that sounds like a cool way to get some exercise and see the place.

And any experience of the food (been to Fiji a few times so not expecting gourmet cuisine, just keen to avoid complete slop.)

Cheers Bob

Snorkeling was reasonably good at Mana, nothing unusual just the usual Fiji regular fish.
You can snorkel on the other side if one side is cut up by the wind.
Yes you can walk around the island, there are a couple of rocky points but they can be walked around with care.
We snorkeled right around the island as well.
Food was Ok, did not like the uncovered buffet breakfast and lunch that got covered with flies.
Did get a dose of Campylobacter from the chicken, I had ordered pork but they prepared chicken by mistake and after an hour waiting for my meal they realised that the chicken that had been sitting on the counter was mine.
I accepted it but obviously should not have and paid the price for being nice.
