Mauarii& Spa accommodation Huahine

Has anyone stayed at the Mauarii& Spa recently?
We found some reviews which had mixed opinion so we are not quite sure if it is a good idea to stay there? Does anyone has other recommendations for accommodation in that area?
How about renting a car or scooters? Do you have to rent them or is the island small enough to get around by bike etc?

The latest review on tripadvisor indicates that this place may not be operating at the moment. We stayed at Rande's Shack and can highly recommend it, but is is a self catering place so may not suit your needs. As for getting around, we used the complimentary bikes at Rande's to get around on the flatter areas near Fare but chose to rent a car to explore the more mountainous areas of the island. If you are a fit bike rider, biking would be a great way to explore as there is little traffic and great views!
