---------------------------------------------- Hi Laszlo,
what a coincidence! Im in Samoa right now and yeasterday i bumped in a bus into a guy named Latu or so (i may be wrong with the spelling) offering me an accomodation in his village Tafua in Savai'i. I immediatelly realized you had written about bad experience with this village having robed you.
What do you think about this? Did you meet this guy there as well? How did exactly your ordeal happen?
This guys is supposed to be a cousin or so of the village's chief.
thanks
please respond to my email: jirikoo@yahoo.com

| Laszlo13:14 UTC09 Sep 2007 | The "ordeal" was described a few times already, so why bore everyone again. It happened while stayng in the home of the village chief, as recommended in LP - so an invite from his cousin sounds no good to me at all. I don't know your guy, but then I only rember one or two names from there. In any case, I obviously wouldn't recommend that particular village, but it's all up to you. If you do go, keep your money on you at ALL times!

| mandja13:26 UTC09 Sep 2007 | Laszlo, you have in the past accepted PMs. Any particular reason why youve now stopped?

| Laszlo14:23 UTC09 Sep 2007 | Of course Martin: I am away from home (in Indonesia for a year, to be more precise), and can't get online regularly. Since I may not be able to reply anyway, I thought it is better to turn PMs off and make people ask their Qs on the forum - others may well be able reply them too, anyway!

| mandja14:32 UTC09 Sep 2007 | Fair enough. Your inbox would fill up otherwise.
Im glad it wasnt due to some idiot giving you grief, and all is ok.

| raro03:42 UTC10 Sep 2007 | Also Mandja, as in my case when in the Cooks, I turned off the PM---to answer a PM one has to be on-line. At NZ$7/hour it was getting a bit costly! Others in costly areas for internet do the same thing (on Aitutaki, etc)
