Mobile Phones In Micronesia

Hello,

are there pre-paid sim cards available in Guam, Micronesia or Palau? Do you recommend a particular mobile phone provider? Are there also UMTS or GPRS services available? Are mobile phones in common use?

I can only answer for Palau, but cell phone use is quite prevelant. I don't have my guidebook handy to tell you the name of the provider, but their location is adjacent to the ferry dock to Peleliu, between Koror and Malakal. These people were quite reasonable and accommodating to me.
