My Oceania tour with photos

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea

Hi!

I have just backed from my round the world tour. I have been travelling for 3 months and from Oceania I visited: Hawaii(Oahu and Kauai), French Polynesia (Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora, Raiatea and Huahine), Cook Islands (aitutaki and Rarotonga), Fiji Islands, Vanuatu, Samoa, New Caledonie and Tonga.

I have created a website with all the photos, I invite you to visit it and of course I accept comments.

Here is the link:

Bye

Elent pics, thanks.

My comment is that adding titles would be very useful.

1

That should read "Excellent pics, thanks"

2

Gorgeous, gorgeous photographs!! Good job, old boy! :)

3

Wonderful photos - loved the Vanuatu volcano shots. I'd also like comments or an indication as to exactly where/what each photo is of.

4

Beautiful but you have some French Polynesia photos in your Tonga section.

So tell us, which one did you find the fairest of them all?

5

Great photos - thanks for sharing.

Hi everybody!!

Thanks for your comments! The website it's still underconstruction, so there are some mistakes that I will fix in a few days. All the photos have a name, you can see where have been taken if you see the name of the photo in your browser.

The most beautiful islands I have seen are Aitutaki and Bora-Bora, they are amazing, but both have the same ''problem'', there are no nice beaches in the main islands. You can take incredible photos but the beaches are not very good for swimming because they are not deep enough or because there are a lot of stones-corals...
A really nice island is Upolu in Samoa, I recommed the beach of Saleapaga and the Fao Fao Beach Fale Hostel. It's really cheap, I paid 20€ per day and was included my fale (straw cottage in the beach) and 3 meals per day (sometimes lobster too). The views were incredible, the beach stunning and the island with a lush vegetation. I could see everyday the sunrise while I hearing the waves breaking in the reef, it was a really relaxing place. After the Great Barrier Reef is the best place where I have done snorkelling.

I have to say too that one of my favourite islands are the Similan archipielago in Thailand, they where impressive with huge rocks in the beach(like the Seychelles) and really nice for swimming and snorkelling.

Thanks! In the Fiji Islands I only visited Mana Island in the Mamanuca archielago, not very far from Nandi.
