Navini Resort Fiji

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea

Hi,
Does anyone have any knowledge or experience of Navini Island resort? Looking at staying there soon. They claim the snorkelling is excellent. Is 6 days too long on such a small island? Any help/comments much appreciated.

Navini Island was very good.
We have snorkeled right around the island reef edge a couple of times and it was all very interesting.
Can be a bit hard to get out to the outer edge of the reef at low tide but we usually managed.
There were black tip reef sharks right at the waters edge but the only fish that had a go at me was a very territorial Nemo!!!
Were the only people there at times during our stay and had the boat at our disposal to snorkel anywhere we wanted to go all included in the cost.
Really enjoyed Navini and 6 days is not too long ,we usually stay 11 or so days at each resort.
The only thing I did not like about Navini was the compulsory $100 p/p per day meal plan.
Probably would not have minded if it had been made clear that it was compulsory before we booked but we never take the meal plans if we can avoid them as we are not big eaters.
For us it was one of the cheaper islands to get to as we usually helicopter in and Navini has no helicopter pad.
The transfers in their boat were free if you stay long enough.
Accommodation was also good and our Bure took 4 adults.
