new ireland itinery?
Hey people
i know this is ridiculous but do you think it is worth bothering with such a tight schedule? My main concern is the 3 islands (tsolik, tunnung, and Tingwon). Is it viable to spend a night in each? or is one worth missing out on etc? Im assuming time is non existant in New Ire (which is what we are after) so is the below feasible?

If anyone has any places on New Ireland where you stayed and loved? We definately into relaxing in bungalows on beaches etc

Dec 23 leave sydney at 08:35am. Get to Port Moresby at 13:40pm. Air Nuigina at 13:55 and arrive in Kavieng 17:25. Night in Kavieng. Any recommendations for Kavieng or should we head straight to the tree house?

Dec 24 – Head to tree house. Stay the night. Doing this to keep the girls happy over xmas :)

Dec 25 Head to Tsolik Island. Stay the night

Dec 26 – 3 hr banana boat ride to Tunnung Island. Stay the night.

Dec 27 – Head to Tingwon Island 2 hr boat ride
Kulkulit Guesthouse

Dec 28, 29 1 hr from Tingwon Island we start a trek over 2 nights through New Hanover.

Dec 30,31, jan 1 – chill at nusa island retreat

Jan 2, head south? Whatever. Yacht charter for a day?

Jan 3 in Kavieng

Jan 4 leave kavieng at 6am. Arrive Port Moresby at 825am. Leave PM for Sydney at 1510

I haven't beenj to PNG, but noticed you arrive in POM at 13:40, and your flight out leaves 15 mnutes later. That's cutting it pretty close! And do you need to go through customs and Immigration in POM??

and what is the deal with transport between these islands? How much will it cost? Is it possible to charter a boat?
