New Ireland, Papua New Guinea by boat?

hi guys, any chance to make this trip from the PNG mainland - from any coastal town, Lae, Madang, Wewak, etc.?

by commercial or non-commercial boat

i cant seem to find any info about this route on the internet

It seems it's outdated but just in case it could be someway useful, you could take a look at the info provided in the web of the New Ireland Tourism Bureau and on this official web about East New Britain. Be aware it seems the Rabaul Shipping Company quoted in both webs went out of business last year (source)... I don't know if it'll be another company making its routes at the moment (or if they are back on business).

thanks mate, i have contacted someone on New Ireland facebook page and they informed me about Lutheran shipping company that serves the route Lae - Kokopo on New Britain Island. I do not know any exact info yet; they are going to get back to me in a couple of days.
