New Year in Fiji

Myself and 2 friends will be in Fiji from 28th Dec - 7th January to finish off our 5 months travelling. We are looking for somewhere that we can stay over new years, does anyone have any recommendations ideally with a party atmosphere ? We will be on a budget but I understand that we will probably have to pay more over this period. We were only intending on pre booking the 30th Dec- 2nd January, do you think we would be ok or would it be safer to prebook everything? Also any recommendations on what to do with the rest of our time and where to stay, we will mainly want to relax and dive/snorkel and would like to be right on the beach - doesn't need to be too fancy. Thanks in advance for your suggestions

somewhere cheap or an island resort? have a look at treasure island or beachcomber island resort. one of them i a bit of a party island
