| islandboi32116:57 UTC25 Sep 2007 | They probably do, however the Tongan people have fortunately said that anyone who can only write in "texting" language will have to stay home.
Anyone know? :)

| watsoff23:30 UTC25 Sep 2007 | LOL islandboi, my thoughts exactly.
Tonga is a very religious nation so I expect there are no raves as such; everything closes down on a Sunday (I got into 'trouble' just talking to an expat shopkeeper in his store one Sunday; it was not open for business, he had just come down to pick up a few personal items and we were both soundly reamed out by a couple of passing churgoers who threatened to report us to the authorities).
But I really don't know how they celebrate the New Year. I could be totally off the wall on this.

| 5waldos10:05 UTC28 Sep 2007 | I believe that underaged children need their parents written permission to travel- thank god.
And anyone over 16 who finds this kinda amusing is not fit to travel beyond their back yard.

| islandboi32102:32 UTC29 Sep 2007 | Most travellers who pass by the new LDS temple in Samoa think it's a casino...

Found out how TONGA celebrates NEW YEARS from resort we will be staying with & it is very exciting
LDS Samoa Temple would look like a casino at night due to the intelligent placing of the lights to enhance the temple building & surroundings.
I was told by 1 on the MATAI'S, when we were there mid MAY 07 they're a rich church whom help & support those in need.
Many fanx 4 giggles:-)

Only a Kiwi could find Tonga 'exciting'.
Lovely/charming/scenic/friendly/amiable/sublime and tranquil but not exciting-except maybe in a cyclone.
Or Marlin fishing......
