One Foot Island Aitutaki

I'm from Italy, with my family will be visiting Cook Islands on July/August. What about McBirney House on One Foot Islands? I'd like to know if there is the possibility to rent directly to the owner. Do you have some info?

It is a two-level house, no electricity, some gas lamps, and one uses frozen water bottles to keep the fridge cold (they drop them off every day).
