One week in June - where to go

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea

Hi all

Looking for a bit of winter sun early / mid June, flying out of Auckland. Don't want to break the bank but equally some home comforts would be nice. 5 - 7 nights. Cost: $1,000 NZ pp and up.

Want - nice beach, snorkeling off beach would be good. Half decent food. Chill out time basically.

Have done some travelling around the Yasawas ect the other year (great beaches, not bad snorkelling, total rip off in terms of value for money around accommodation / quality of food etc) and had week in Samoa last year (stayed near airport. Though beaches v disappointing).

Any suggestions. New Calendonia, Raro? etc etc

cheers in advance
Bob

Check out discounted fares to RAR. Stay near south end of Muri Beach, or along the south coast (Titikaveka) for best snorkeling.

Lots of low-price choices, check out www.ck .

Bring reef shoes and a snorkeling mask, fins not really necessary.

thanks fot that. Change of date. Heading to Oz now in June so thinking september time. How was does that effect Raro weatherwise?

Weather in Sept/Oct is to me perfect. Warmer/hotter during the day, still not humid like Nov to April, but still a nice cool breeze at night.
