Pacific honeymoon

Hello,

Neither of us have travelled in the South Pacific and want a warm, relaxing, romantic getaway in August for 10 days/nights....Iririki Island, Vanuatu looks good but we were nearly booked into a concrete jungle, so just looking for comments on luxury accomodation in Islands around that way. Tahiti looks hell expensive, Fiji has never really taken our fancy but willing to take any advice.

As you're from Australia, Vanuatu and Fiji are close, as is New Caledonia. But you also might consider the Cooks, via Pacific Blue. Check the main website www.ck and see if it appeals to you. You can get excellent accommodations at reasonable prices on both Rarotonga and Aitutaki. But beware, the highest priced places are NOT usually the best, they just have a bigger advertising budget.

Check out Sokala Villas on Rarotonga, and Etu Moana on Aitutaki. I'd bet you'd both come back smiling!
