Papeete airport transfers

Does anyone know the cost of a taxi to get from the Papeete international airport to the downtown dock where the Paul Gauguin docks? Also, is there a money change desk or bank in the airport open on a late Saturday afternoon? Will taxi drivers take US$s?

I'm guessing about 1500 - 2000 during the daytime hours. There is a moneychanger open for all international flights plus there are one or two banks at the airport. If you are very lucky you might even be able to use the ATM at the airport but don't count on it. You will need to use the local currency, pacific francs.
