im going to papua in the next two weeks on my own , this will be my first time in thsi country and im wondering if anybody has any helpful advice for me ie where to go stay what to do and other general advice would be great,im thinking of going up the west coast from port moresby and then treking for a few days and then flying down to the eastern side, feel free to email me back, thanks alot

Your question is way too vague, so here is my similarly generalized reply/advice: see the PNG link in my signo line, and existing PNG posts on this forum for a start.
And maybe even a guidebook.

BTW, a look at the map might confirm that going up the west coast from Port Moresby is morely to get you to swampy lowlands than to tempting hiking areas.
If hiking is your priority, it might be worth investing into a flight to the Highlands, or at least to the Owen Stanley Ranges inland from POM.
