Polypass - Polynesian AirCountry forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea
Hello All: I need to visit Melbourne from California and am looking at the POLYPASS from Polynesian Air. The info is below. It looks like a fun way to get to Melbourne, but the website is primitive and the email address doesn't work. Neither is a good sign. Who here knows this airline - or better yet has used a POLYPASS? Thanks All. http://www.pacificislands.com/air_passes/polypass.html PolyPass Take up to 45 days of unlimited travel; write your own itinerary and explore Polynesia. Your PolyPass is your ticket to paradise. It's a great business deal, too! If you're flying the Pacific on business, you'll soon see how well Polynesian Airlines' PolyPass adds up to the best deal available. For a surcharge, your PolyPass may be upgraded to Business Class.
That webpage is from 1999 and has obviously never been updated since. There is no more Polypass for quite a while already. Polynesian Airlines still exists but has only one single 19-seater aircraft left to fly regionally between both Samoas. | 1
Thank you. I can now mark this question as answered. | 2
Air NZ is probably the best way to get across the Pacific and back, taking in as many islands as possible as stop-overs on their direct routes. Otherwise, for trips out of NZ or Australia into the Pacific, Virgin's "Pacific Blue" is pretty good. Rob | 3
